You enroll on-line, then what? Read below for the flow between enrolling and start of class.

FIRST STEP: Enroll on-line, you will get a confirmation email. This will 'reserve' a spot in class for you.
SECOND STEP: Forward necessary vet records: (records must be received and all vaccines verfied at least one week before start of class-to keep canine students safe)
1. Proof of Rabies Vaccine (possible exception, puppies, may not be able to be given yet due to age or weight per vet)
2. Proof of regular shots (i.e. DHLPP or similar)
3. Proof of Bordetella Vaccine (also known as Kennel Cough vaccine) current within a year
4. Negative fecal float, current within a year (this might have to be written in by your vet, not always printed on records)

Mail class fee (we accept check or cash) to address above. When payment is received, your spot is 'confirmed'.
You will get a confirmation that materials were received and sent a reminder before class starts. Please do check you 'junk' or 'spam' mail hence our email sometimes ends up there.

We ask that you bring your dog to class with a harness, Halti, Gentle Leader, or flat collar (as opposed to a prong or choke collar), a 4 or 6 foot leash (as opposed to a flexi or retractable-lead) and a lot of his/her favorite tiny, soft treats. Basic Obedience NEW DATE!!

Learn how to teach essential obedience and self-control skills to your dog (sit, down, stay, come, attention and walk on lead), and to solve household behavior problems with reward based techniques. Suitable for owners of adolescent and adult dogs (age 5 months and up) that have never been trained formally, that have never trained with you (new owner) or that need a refresher course to prepare for advanced studies and sports. Puppies are also welcome in this class, will cover much of the items covered in our Puppy class. One hour per week for six weeks, $100.

S.T.A.R. Puppy

Start your puppy out right with fun and games that teach important skills. Designed for puppies 10 weeks (at least with their second set of shots and also your vets permission:) to 5 months, this class covers socialization and confidence building, household manners and beginning obedience. AKC’s new S.T.A.R. puppy evaluation completed on the last class. Pups must have at least their second set of shots and veterinary should give 'ok' for puppy to attend class. One hour per week for six weeks, $100.

Intermediate - AKC CGC NEW DATE ADDED!!!

Build on your basic training skills and help your dog gain even more confidence, responsiveness, self-control and good manners. We'll work to improve loose-leash walking, recalls, stays and attention and to solve common behavior problems. AKC Canine Good Citizen Work on getting your dog, CGC'd!! Test given the last class session. This class is repeatable. Pre-requisite, Basic or Puppy obedience or equivalent skills.

Conformation for the Show Ring

Teach your dog to hand-stack, free-stack, bait, gait & ring procedures in preparation to show your dog. This class is for beginning handlers and/or first-time Conformation dogs and to get some experience for your dog in the Conformation exercises and the judges touch.

THIS SESSION: Saturday, July 31, 2010 @10:45 am. This session you may drop-in (need on-line enrollment prior) or attend all classes. This class starts on July 31 and runs through September 11th. Six week course.

Beginning AGILITY See you next May!

We introduce you to the basics of the agility course by teaching your dog to accomplish 'jumps', 'tunnels' among others in a positive and fun manner. At the end of class, you and your dog will be able to run a course. Younger dogs, including puppies are welcome in this class. All exercises will be safe for young dogs. Classes held outside in a 10,000 square foot fenced area for your dog's safety. Your dog should have a good base of obedience and be dog friendly.

This class will build on the foundation of the Beginners class, and also introduce the teeter and the weave poles. Advanced Beginner dogs and handlers will gain confidence on each obstacle, and become a team as they learn how to put them all together.

Continuation of Intermediate Agility class that will build on the dog's confidence on the obstacles, and will also work on improving the handler's skills.
